A 14-day Pro trial, with clear terms
Planned for launch, subject to eligibility. A web trial requires a payment method. It converts to your selected paid subscription after 14 days unless canceled. It is separate from Free core access.

Continuous sync and imports will have limits, alongside storage and processing. Those limits still need to be finalized before the trial opens. Trial allowances are for all 14 days, not per day.

The planned founder offer

These are proposed web-only founder prices, with the same Pro features and allowances. The planned price protection lasts 24 months from your first successful paid charge. It is not a lifetime fixed price.
- After 24 months, continuously eligible founders receive 25% off the then-current standard Pro price when paying on the web.
- Continuous paid Pro through web or Apple preserves eligibility; the discount is redeemed on the web. A lapse beyond the applicable payment grace period ends eligibility.
- Switching monthly or annual billing takes effect at renewal and does not restart the 24-month clock. Returning while enrollment is open can restore eligibility with the original clock.
- Closing enrollment requires 30 days’ notice. After price protection ends, increases require 30 days’ notice and take effect at renewal, never halfway through a paid annual term.
Final founder prices, enrollment dates, and purchase terms will be confirmed before enrollment opens.
Before you choose a plan
What can I use today?
The beta is available now without a subscription charge. Pro checkout and Pro trials are not open yet. The prices and plan differences above describe the proposed launch offer. Beta access to an AI feature does not mean that feature will be included in Free permanently. We will give existing beta users 30 days’ notice before introducing Free plan limits; starting a paid trial or subscription will require an explicit choice.
Does the Pro trial require payment details?
Yes, for a web Pro trial. The planned 14-day trial requires a payment method and automatically becomes the monthly or annual subscription you select unless you cancel before it ends. Annual billing means the entire annual amount is charged at once. Trial eligibility is limited to once per Second account and also depends on the payment provider. If you are ineligible, checkout must show the paid offer before you confirm.
What will I pay, and when?
The proposed Pro prices are USD 9.99 per month or USD 99.99 per year, before applicable taxes. The annual option is one payment for the year, not twelve monthly payments. Final prices, taxes, included allowances, renewal terms, and the total due will be shown before you confirm a purchase. App Store prices may vary by storefront and currency; the Apple purchase sheet is authoritative for Apple purchases.
How do allowances work?
Pro is designed with monthly allowances, including when billed annually. Weekly digests have a separate allowance from interactive AI responses. There are no automatic overage charges or top-ups in the planned offer. When a limit is reached, the affected work pauses until an allowance resets or you choose an available plan change. Your paid term keeps the allowance policy you purchased. A failed or canceled AI operation that produces no usable result restores its advertised action allowance.
How will I cancel?
For web subscriptions, open Settings → Plan & usage and choose subscription management to stop renewal. For Apple subscriptions, use Apple’s subscription settings. Cancel before a trial ends to avoid the first paid charge; cancel a paid subscription before its renewal to avoid the next charge. Paid access continues through the paid term. Deleting the app, signing out, or resetting your library does not cancel a subscription. Apple billing must be canceled with Apple even if you delete your Second account.
What happens if a payment fails?
The planned policy allows three days of grace for a failed paid renewal. A failed first charge after the trial does not receive paid-renewal grace. If payment is not recovered, Pro access ends; your existing library remains readable and exportable.
What is the refund policy?
The planned web refund policy gives a full refund of the first paid charge if requested within 14 days of that charge. Renewal refunds are reviewed case by case. Contact contact@thedevdavid.com for web billing support. Apple handles refunds for Apple purchases. These policies are in addition to any rights that apply to you; final purchase terms will be available before checkout opens.
What happens to my library if I stop paying?
Your existing content remains readable and exportable after a trial, subscription, or allowance ends. If your library exceeds a storage limit, additions and edits that increase storage may be paused; reading, export, deletion, and changes that reduce storage remain available. A subscription is for additional capabilities and allowances, not ownership of your notes.
Do I need a subscription for each device?
Use the same Second account across supported apps. Your plan belongs to that account; buying another subscription does not add another allowance. Web purchases are planned through Stripe, and Apple purchases through the App Store. Apple subscriptions and in-app trials are not available yet. A restored Apple purchase belongs to the Second account that originally purchased it. Family Sharing is not included in the planned launch.
What if I have a complimentary invitation?
A complimentary invitation is a separate, individually issued grant. Redeem a valid code on the web in Settings → Plan & usage after verifying your email. Claimed access includes premium features without recurring payments or plan usage caps and has no scheduled expiry. Technical limits and service availability still apply. Administrators can revoke grants. An invitation does not cancel or refund an existing provider subscription, and it is not a lifetime plan sold on this page.
