Save links, notes, and files

Save links and notes in the web app, capture pages and selections with Chrome, or import files on Mac. New captures go to Inbox unless you choose a destination. Extraction and indexing continue in the background.

Use Second in your browser or download the Apple silicon Mac app for a local library and optional account sync. The iPhone and iPad companion is in preparation for App Store distribution.

Suggestions, not auto-filing

Review your Inbox with filing suggestions from your rules and AI. See the reasoning, accept a suggestion, or choose a different Project, Area, or Resource yourself.

Ask your Second

Ask questions about saved knowledge with source citations. Turn Search results into a chat or a saved Brief with pinned source revisions, and personalize answers with an optional AI Profile.

Keyboard-first

Open the web command palette with ⌘K, navigate with G shortcuts, and triage with J/K. Undo supported organization actions; permanent deletion is separate.

Archive, restore, or delete

Keep inactive knowledge searchable and restorable in Archive. Permanently delete items when you choose, or export your library as Markdown and retained original files.

A weekly review of your work

Review your Inbox, revisit stale projects, and complete finished work. Enable a weekly email digest for a recap of your captures, organization activity, and outstanding work.

Goals, not folders

Projects carry a goal and a deadline — the true test of a project. Second nudges you when a “project” is really an area in disguise.
